Through community partnerships, we share food, clothing and Christ’s love. We serve the people of Great Falls together, believing we all have gifts to give to support one another.
The Heart & History of DownPour
DownPour Community is led by team that started DownPour Festival in Great Falls over a decade ago. In January 2018, the leadership team decided that God was guiding us in a different direction for the DownPour event.
After much prayer and consideration, we determined that there are needs in our community that go beyond providing free Christian entertainment. A variety of churches and ministries met and agreed to tailor an event to share tangible items such as food, clothing, school supplies, and medical and dental care with our neighbors who would benefit from these services. The rebirth of DownPour includes a full Saturday of sharing, faith and service at no cost to any attendee.
In this same spirit of service, on Friday, Sept. 28, many Downpour Community volunteers will warm up for their Saturday of giving by helping at the Vets 4 Vets Stand Down at the fairgrounds. That event brings together government agencies, faith-based organizations, housing providers, nonprofit agencies, and local businesses to connect veterans with a variety of services.
